Information to EKF´s customers: EKF to become part of Denmark´s Export and Investment Fund
The Danish government has entered into an agreement with the majority of the Danish Parliament regarding the merger of EKF Denmark’s Export Credit Agency (EKF), Vaekstfonden and the Danish Green Investment Fund into a new fund by the name of Denmark´s Export- and Investment Fund.
01/21/2022
The goal is to establish a more coherent and manageable public funding system to support Danish growth and export companies from the early start-up and further out into the world. EKF and Vaekstfonden will become part of the fund as independent subsidiaries.
What happens now?
The political agreement will now have to be converted into a bill to be adopted by the Danish Parliament. Only then will the merger be able to take place. It is still too early to outline a time schedule for the merger.
How will this affect EKF´s customers?
All relations with EKF including client relations will remain unchanged – both during the phase of merger as well as in the future fund.
The guarantee provided by the Danish government to EKF, Vaekstfonden and Denmark´s Green Investment Fund will not be affected by the merger.
Therefore, EKF will still be able to insure, finance and create results together with Danish businesses just as we have been doing for the past 100 years.
