Working capital guarantee

With a working capital guarantee, your company will find it easier to secure credit from your bank to pay for materials, wages and suppliers while you fill the orders.

What is Working capital guarantee?

Working capital guarantee is a scheme for Danish export companies and their sub-suppliers to allow EKF to guarantee their credit and loan with their bank. In providing this guarantee, EKF assumes a large share of the bank's risk on the extended credit, making it easier for your company to secure credit or a loan from the bank.

The credit can be used to cover the company's general operating expenses or the company's expenses on filling specific export orders.

EKF can also provide security for the frameworks for making guarantees for advance payments, tenders and work on filling a specific export order.

A working capital guarantee is a form of insurance which your company has to pay for. In order to speed up the process, your bank will apply to EKF for a working capital guarantee on your behalf.

The working capital guarantee is now a standard EKF scheme for Danish companies. Originally, Danish export companies could apply for working capital guarantees until the end of 2011, but a recent political agreement has made the working capital scheme permanent as of 1 January 2012.
