If your company takes an order from a foreign buyer, EKF can issue a buyer credit guarantee to a bank that lends the buyer money to pay for the order. With the EKF guarantee, the bank gains security that it will recover its money.
EKF pays compensation to the bank if the payments from abroad are not made as agreed. For example if:
• The foreign buyer is unable or unwilling to pay.
• The money cannot be transferred out of the country.
• If war/civil war breaks out in the country.
The loan made to the foreign buyer can be made by a Danish or foreign bank.
