The growth prospects for Africa are very positive and new growth areas in Africa offer considerable potential for trade and investment, which can be exploited by Danish companies and investors. The GoGlobal partners are joining forces with a number of African ambassadors and Business Kolding on holding a conference on the opportunities in Africa. The conference is mainly for companies.
The programme features Minister for Development Cooperation of Denmark Christian Friis Bach describing the interesting development opportunities in Africa within the food sector and sustainable energy, among other topics, and an investment consultant from the African Development Bank will speak about the growth perspectives for the private sector in Africa.
Later, the 28 ambassadors will explain about the business opportunities in their respective countries, including Egypt, South Africa and Nigeria. And finally, a Danish company will brief participants on its specific experience with running a business in Africa.
The day will end with a networking event at which participants can meet and speak to representatives from the participating African countries, Business Kolding and the GoGlobal partners: Danida, the Trade Council, IFU and EKF.
The conference will be held in Kolding, Jutland, on 7 June 2012. See the programme and register for the conference here.
