Category A projects

Category A projects comprise projects with significant adverse environmental impacts, such as oil refineries, steel works, large oil and gas pipelines, large dams and dumping grounds.
 
In compliance with international guidelines, EKF asks the exporter/project sponsor to make the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) publicly available. It is a condition precedent for EKF Guarantee, that the EIA is made public available at least 30 calendar days before a final commitment to grant coverage. From EKF’s website, we will establish a link to exporter’s/project sponsor’s website, or to the site where the EIA is publicly available.
