Export loans can alleviate the financial crisis
The export lending scheme is a helping hand for you and many other companies that find it hard to arrange financing because the financial crisis has reduced the banks' ability and willingness to grant credit facilities.
Untill December 2011 EKF can make export loans for a total of DKK 20 billion available for Danish exports all over the world with a credit term exceeding two years. These export loans will among other things ensure that your customer has access to credit facilities so your company can still sell its goods and services.
All companies are welcome to apply
Whatever your company's size or sector, it may be eligible for an export loan. The only requirement is a credit term of 2-12 years, though up to 18 years regarding export and projects related to renewable energy and water. EKF’s normal requirement of a Danish economic interest must also be fulfilled.
As from 18 March your company will be able to apply for export loans for all key Danish export markets. Countries with a poor credit rating may be exceptions, as described here >

Loans against export guarantees
The export loan can either be granted to your customer, your customer’s bank, or directly to your company if it extends credit to the customer. In order to minimise the risk an export guarantee is required to be established with the loan.
The loan is arranged via your company’s bank, and your application should be made via the bank. On the other hand, EKF evaluates the loan and export guarantee applications and undertakes the credit assessment. Read more here about how you apply for the loan.
What is the price?
As a rule the terms of the loan are equivalent to the terms of traditional export loans offered by financial institutions. EKF will make an individual assessment of each case and offer export loans at an interest rate which remains fixed throughout the entire loan period.
